On 22nd January Newport CE Junior School were awarded School of Sanctuary status at a lovely celebratory assembly which involved the whole school.  The school and its community work very hard together to promote mental health and wellbeing and ensure that every child feels safe and can thrive in an environment where everyone is respected for who they are.  The award was very well deserved and the school look forward to sharing the work it continues to do with Schools of Sanctuary with other local schools.
